My original plan coming out of the military and photojournalism school was to specialize in photographing famous people, celebrities, actors, models — high fashion photography.

In fact — I completed over 250 hours of fashion courses in the top San Diego fashion college, and over 150 hours of classes in a famous San Diego modeling school, including an extensive make-up artistry program to prepare for this celebrity career path.

However, at the time, it seemed like everyone wanted me to work for free to do model portfolios, editorial layouts and fashion work in San Diego, California.

If you are a beautiful girl and need professional modeling pictures, please check out my professional picture portfolio, then contact me for information to get some test pictures taken.

In retrospect — what I know now about how business relationships get discovered and grow — I kind of regret not following this dream.

I should have first moved to New York City or Los Angeles (where the business is) and stuck it out until I met the right group of creative people.

It's like the memorable movie quote in "On the Waterfront" when Marlon Brando's character, Terry, said:

"You don't understand. I coulda had class. I coulda been a contender. I coulda been somebody...".

l guess I am somebody and have some kind of class — just looking back on what might have been if I'd worked a little harder and been a little more committed to my dream career....
