My niece, Sarah, took this great photograph of her son and nephew (Alex & Wesley). She sent it to me to use in my second family genealogy DVD, "Lest We Forget." I cut out the background, put a creative Photoshop spin on it, and used it as the DVD cover art for my contemporary family genealogy DVD.
I think this creative imagery illustrates one of the best attempts in taking (and preserving) memorable family snapshots and building interesting family genealogy multimedia project archives that transcend "family pictures" and appeal to mass audiences. This turn of the 21st century family photograph of young boys playing cowboys is one of the 500 scans and digital restorations I did for a 45–minute family documentary movie DVD.
